Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Chinedum Orji has been impeached by out of 27 members.
The impeachment proceedings took place at an undisclosed location.
It was gathered that the motion for the impeachment was moved by two Peoples Democratic Party lawmakers, Chukwudi Apugo and Okey Igwe was based on allegations of gross misconduct and highhandedness.
It was also learnt that the Clerk of the House was not there to swear in the new speaker.
