The President of the Senate, Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan has been declared the winner of the Yobe North Senatorial District by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Returning officer for Yobe North Professor Omolola Aduloje said the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator Ahmed Lawan polled 91,318 votes and defeated Ilu Alhaji-Bello, of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who got 22,849 votes.
She, therefore, declared Ahmed Lawan as the winner of the Yobe North Senatorial Election.
