The ruling All progressive Congress ( APC) in Nasarawa State has denied having two factional speaker in the state.
State Chairman of the party, John Mamman made the position of the party known when he led other party officials on a congratulatory visit to Ibrahim Balarabe who was elected Speaker of the House by a faction.
Mamman said the issue around the leadership of the 7th assembly is normal in any political circle, stating the party is behind the emergence of Ibrahim Balarabe as the Speaker of the Seventh assembly.
The chairman insisted that the supremacy of the party must be upheld, calling on the remaining APC lawmakers who haven’t been sworn in to avail themselves for the ritual.
Recall there was tension at the Nasarawa state house of assembly after a faction elected Ibrahim Balarabe as the new speaker and another faction chose Daniel ogazi as speaker.
