The federal capital territory authority has advised traders occupying the Lugbe timber shed area to vacate the location after it was marked as the proposed site of the electricity corridor of the transmission company of Nigeria.
In a meeting today, director development control of fcta, Mukhtar Galadima, a quite notice had been served to the traders in the market since last year, debunking news of a sudden evacuation operation.
Galadima also appealed to the traders to comply with directives, stating that an approval has been granted by the authority to give more time to the traders to evacuate.
He said 23 June, 2023 has been approved as the date for the traders to vacate and relocate to designated areas to continue their businesses
