The acting Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, has promised to enforce proactive measures within the force, to reduce criminal activities in the country.
Egbetokun stated this today at a meeting with members of the Police Management Team at the Goodluck Jonathan Peacekeeping Hall, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
The IG who promised improved welfare for police officers, reiterated his commitment to improved inter-agency collaboration between the police and other security agencies.
The Acting Inspector General of Police, also appointed Commissioner of Police Tunji Disu as the Principal Staff Officer to the IGP with immediate effect.
