The Chief Executive Officer of Ethiopian Airlines, Mesfin Tasew, has hinted that the Nigerian airlines will commence flight operations in October this year.
Tasew during an interview said the contract is active and the board is working actively to ensure that the airline start flying and connecting the local market to the international market.
In May 2023, Nigeria’s former Aviation Minister Hadi Sirika launched the Air carrier less than three days before the end of his administration, promising that the Nigerian carrier will fly before the end of president Muhamadu Buhari’s tenure.
However, a few days after the launch Hadi Sirika was reported saying the aircraft unveiled during the launch does not belong to Nigeria Air but is a carrier of Ethiopian Airlines.
