Although details remain sketchy, it was gathered that the father of the prominent cleric passed on in the early hours of Monday, August 7, 2023 in his hometown Ido-Ekiti.
Confirming the news on his Facebook page, Olu Alo wrote, “Hmmmmmmm to God be the glory for a life well spent, this is to announce the passing on to glory of my father PA JOSEPH OMOWAYE ALO, who just transited from this world to meet his creator.
” May His soul rest in perfect peace”
The deceased, who is the patriarch of the family was born on 22nd February 1940 died on 7th August 2023 after a brief illness at 83.
Late Pa Alo was a well-respected community leader and popularly known as “Olopa ibile” (local policeman) for his efforts in maintaining peace and security in Ido community during his life time.
The deceased was a devoted Christian and active member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, Ido-Ekiti where he served as an usher.
Baba is survived by his wife Madam Grace Alo and children among whom is Prophet Sam Olu Alo (Baba Adamimogo), the planter of C.A.C Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain.
The family is expected to release a formal statement and burial details later.
