The Acting Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun has inaugurated the Complaint Response Unit, noting that the Unit would ensure accountability on the part of officers and improve trust with the public.
Egbetokun who also commissioned the state-of-the-art hospital, built inside 22 Police Mobile Force in Oduduwa, Ikeja, GRA, Lagos said all the new changes in the force was part of a new policing vision.
The Acting Police who is visiting the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja, for the first time since his appointment by President Bola Tinubu also appealed to the public to minimize reportage of officers on social media.
The launch of the CRU was attended by the State Commissioner in Lagos, Idowu Owohunwa, legal luminary, Femi Falana and former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Olumide Akpata.
