The minister of works Dave Umahi says roads constructed under his leadership in the state would last 50 years without maintenance
Umahi who said this today noted that infrastructure is an important component and driver of development, expressing disappointment at the pace and standard of some road projects in the country.
The Minister urged all contractors to ensure that they deliver projects in line with agreed terms, while discouraging nepotism and sabotage in awarding and executing projects for the good of the people.
According to him, president Tinubu’s administration is ready to provide funds for the construction of quality roads in the country adding that the administration is also looking at reducing the cost of construction.
