Federal capital territory FCT minister, Nyesom Wike has ordered the immediate identification and arrest of the owner of a two-story building which collapsed in Abuja yesterday night.
Wike during an on-the-spot assessment top the scene, noted that original residents of the area were designated for resettlement, however wondered why the FCT administration could not carry out such resettlement in four years.
Earlier, FEMA spokesperson Nkechi Isa in a statement today said a combined team of the FCT emergency management agency (FEMA), federal road safety corps, (FRSC), FCT police command, and the V.I.O are on the ground as rescue efforts are ongoing as the search for more victims intensifies at the scene of the building collapse
The two-story building which serves both residential and commercial purposes collapsed yesterday night, few months after a four-story building collapsed in the life camp area of the city with many wounded.
