Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara has criticised the Federal Government for awarding the contract for the protection of crude oil pipelines to one man.
Fubara said this during a visit by National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, decrying the neglect of the state by the Federal Government, while calling on the delegation to ensure that their is beneficial to both the Federal and the state governments.
The governor also faulted the strategy of the Federal Government of trusting an individual with control of a nation’s assets, noting that such arrangement should be revieqed.
Fubara further promised to continue the fight against illegal refining of crude oil which started under the leadership of the immediate past Governor, Nyesom Wike.
