Former National publicity secretary of the Peoples democratic party, Kola Ologbondiyan says the party is yet to decide on appropriate action on the appointment of former governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike as minister under All-Progressives Congress led government.
Ologbondiyan in a televised interview today insisted that an all-inclusive government where members of the opposition party are appointed to government agencies and parastatals is not alien to Nigerian politics, stating that Wike’s case is not spectacular.
The party chieftain also denied news of alleged sanctions against Wike as a result of anti-party activities, arguing that until the national executive council of the party meets, no official decision can be pronounced on such an issue.
He further submitted that the federal government must show that it has the interest of Nigerians at heart by drastically reducing the cost of governance to meet the reality of the economy.
