United nations have appealed to world leaders to increase aid packages for venerable persons as world disaster continues to increase in the wake of climate change, diplomatic tension and internal crisis.
Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator at the United Nations, Martin Griffiths said this today in an interview, stating that the recent wave of disaster round the world is a major cause of concern with millions displaced by natural disaster.
According to Griffith, Africa is at the center of aids with current need and assistance package expected to skyrocket as season change and instability in world order continue to linger.
He also advocated a unified action against the mitigating factors bedeviling the world, calling on world leaders to honor pacts and commitment made at the different conferences.
