– Laments Ethnic, Religious Divisions, Seeks Intervention of Religious Leaders
The Founder of Christ Apostolic Church, Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain, Prophet Sam Olu Alo has asked Nigerians not to expect magic from the Bola Tinubu administration.
He, however, wants clerics and religious organisations to play an active role in helping the new government reunite the country.
Speaking during the finale of the sixth anniversary celebrations of the Ogombo branch of the Church, Olu Alo said the ethnic and religious division triggered during the 2023 polls left much to be desired.
He, however, appealed to religious leaders to help government in actively reuniting all sides for the progress of Nigeria.
“Religious leaders should put religion and ethnicity asides and priotise preaching and advancing the concept of love and unity. If they do that, you’ll see advancement in various sectors of the country.”
Olu Alo added, “Love is paramount, because God abounds where there is love and if there is love, We will not cheat or betray ourselves for politics sakes.”
Noting that the Bola Tinubu Administration cannot perform magic in turning around the fortunes of Nigeria, Olu Alo urged Nigerians to be patient but actively play a part in holding government accountable.
In his words,”I do not expect them (incoming Administration) to perform magic but if we exist in love, exercise patience as well as hold government accountable, we would see visible progress.
“However, this moment is a period of trial for President, Governors, Senators and other lawmakers, because the 2023 Elections have inspired Nigerians to know that if you do not fulfil promises made to the people, you’ll be kicked out.”
Earlier, members of the CAC, GMPM, Ogombo branch shared various testimonies of how their spiritual experience had improved through knowledge of God and fellowship with other Christians.
Asides prayers and impartation, the other highlight of the day was a special birthday session for veteran Yoruba actor, Charles Olumo also known as Agbaako.
