A federal high court has convicted the general overseer of seraphic and sabbath assembly, Lagos, Azuka Kenrick and two others for attempting to smuggle hard drugs out of the country.
Kenrick and his accomplices Udezuka Udoka and Oyoyo Obasi were dragged by the national drug law enforcement agency (NDLEA) before the court for attempting to export of 14.90 kilograms of cannabis sativa and 204 grams of methamphetamine.
The three all pleaded guilty to the charge as read out by prosecutor, Abu Ibrahim who narrated how there were caught at the NAHCO export shed, a customs point of the Murtala Muhammed international airport, Ikeja-Lagos.
After taking pleas from their counsel, justice Akintayo Aluko convicted the trio and ordered that they be remanded in prison till he gives final judgement.
