The court has admitted some presidential election results presented by the Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to support its claim against the victory of President Bola Tinubu of the All-Progressives Congress (APC).
At the hearing presided over by Justice Haruna Tsammani today, lead counsel to Obi
presented original copies of INEC election results from six local government areas in Rivers state, Bida local governement of Niger and 21 local government in Adamawa.
Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission objected to the documents tendered by the Labour Party insisting that reasons for objection would be advanced during the address stage of the petition.
However, the court admitted the documents as evidence, while adjourning till Monday, May 5, for a further hearing in the matter..
The court also adjourned the case of Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), All Progressives Congress (APC), and President Bola Tinubu till Friday, June 9.
