The Gombe State Emergency Management Agency (SEMAhas denied allegations of nepotism and partiality in the distribution of palliatives by the state government.
In a statement today, Executive Secretary of SEMA, who is also the chairman of the committee in charge of the distribution of the palliatives, Abdullahi Abdullahi, said palliatives were not distributed based on political consideration.
Abdullahi said the palliatives were meant for Gombe people and not for members of the All-Progressives Congress (APC), insisting that beneficiaries were selected from different polling units without party affiliation.
Earlier, a section of residents in the community had accused suspected leaders of the all-progressive congress of planning and scheming to dole out palliatives to their members alone.
