The Gombe State Police Command has confirmed the death of a suspected armed robber in a gun duel, at the Nayi Nawa quarters of the state.
The command’s Deputy Public Relations Officer, Sharif Saad, said the force was alerted that a gang of armed robbers invaded the residence of one Gidado Muhammad Sani, at Arawa Quarters, inflicting injury on the security man.
According to Saad, officers swiftly responded to a distress call, engaging the suspects in a gun battle, noting that three members of the gang were arrested while six others escaped with bullet wounds.
He stated that some items were recovered and returned to the owners while efforts to arrest the fleeing suspects is in top gear.
