Multiple Grammy Award winner, Angelique Kidjo has confirmed long term speculations that she hails from Nigeria.
In an interview, the veteran singer admitted that her mother revealed to her that she is from Iseyin, a town in Oyo State.
Although born in Benin Republic, the singer explained that her mother claimed that she has lots of relatives in Nigeria even though she does not visit them often.
The 62-year-old entertainer and activist also claimed she has lots of relatives across Nigeria who she had not seen.
