The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has warned police officers in the country preserve the integrity and mandate of police force by shunning corrupt practices.
Egbetokun gave the warning in Akure, the Ondo state capital while decorating 224 newly promoted officers of the Police Command in Ondo State.
Speaking through the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Ebong Ebong, Zone 17 comprising Ondo and Ekiti States, he, promised that hard work would be rewarded while erring officers will be duly punished.
Egbetokun charged the newly promoted officers to abide by the laws and norms of the force and to do their best to ensure the justification of their new ranks.
Earlier, state Police commissioner, Taiwo Jesubiyi, urged the officers to be good models to the junior officers, upholding sincerity and patriotism in service delivery.
