BLS an Indian company that offers visa services took to its website today to indicate that effective from today, Indian visa services have been suspended till further notice, sighting operational reasons for the development.

The move comes amid a diplomatic dispute between India and Canada over the killing of a Sikh separatist, Hardeep Singh Nijjar, near the Canadian city of Vancouver in June.

Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly echoed Prime Minister Justin Tradeau’s allegations, stating that such actions amount to direct assault on the Canadian nation while High Commission in India says it would reduce the number of diplomatic staff working in the country over threats made on social media.

Meanwhile, Inidian government has insisted such allegations from Canada is demeaning and could escalate relations in a very dangerous way, warning Indians to refrain from travelling to Canada this period, which international relation expert, Amerita Cheema described as a tense response.
