The independent national electoral commission has said it would ensure the glitches that occurred during the February 25 elections would not surface in the governorship elections across the country on Saturday.
INEC chairman, information and voter education committee, Festus Okoye said the commission had learnt valuable lessons from the February 25 presidential and national assembly elections.
Okoye added that the commission will adopt the mode of transmission of result stipulated by law and work to maintain fairness and equity in the election.
Okoye also debunked reports of supplementary elections alongside governorship and state houses of assembly elections on Saturday, stating that date for supplementary elections would be fixed.
