The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party has appointed Umar Damagum, to oversee the affairs of the party in acting capacity.
National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Debo Ologunagba, announced this at a press conference at the party’s secretariat.
Damagun will replace Iyorchia Ayu as the national chairman of the party, following Ayu’s suspension.
Recall that a Benue State High Court yesterday restrained Ayu from parading himself as National Chairman of the Party based on an exparte motion filed by a member of the party, Conrad Utaan.
