Labor party chairman in Abia state, Ceekay Igara, says the latest ruling from the federal high court is dead on arrival and cannot stop Alex Otti from been inaugurated as the elected governor of the state.
In a statement shortly after the court ruling, Igara insisted that the rule was unacceptable and a betrayal of justice, while appealing to members of the party in the state to remain calm.
In the meantime, the embattled governor-elect, Alex Otti is reportedly in Abuja, stating that he will react to the ruling after due consultation.
Earlier, the federal high court in Abuja had sacked Otti, stating bridge of the electoral act as the basis of the judgement.
