The Labour party (LP) and its Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, have accused the independent National Electoral Commission of obstructing the hearing of their petition before the Presidential Election Court
The counsel to the petitioners, Jibrin Okutepa at the resumed hearing today, claimed INEC has refused to release some documents needed for the prosecution of their case.
Counsel to INEC, Abubakar Mahmoud, however, countered the claim, saying the allegation against the commission is untrue.
Obi and the LP are challenging the outcome of the election held on February 25, which produced President Bola Tinubu as Nigeria’s president.
