Lagos state traffic management agency, LASTMA has confirmed the death of a driver after a tussle with an officer of the agency and a police man in Ago, Okota area of the state.
According to reports LASTMA officials were seen dragging the steering with an erring driver with an intention to stop and apprehend him, however, the struggle turned tragic after the driver lost control and rammed into some passersby.
According to an Eyewitness, identified as Usman, one person died and four others were injured, noting that that irate mob descended on the traffic agents but were saved by police officers who contained the situation.
Spokesperson of LASTMA, Adebayo Taofiq and the state Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Babatunde Farinloye, confirmed the incidence.
