Minister nominee Tunji Alausa says private sector powered economy is the key solution to Nigeria’s health care system.
Alausa said this during senate ministerial screening today, insisting that the government can not continue to fund the health system and expect optimal operations.
He also harped on standard facility and lofty welfare packages for medical practitioners to battle brain drain while facilitating partnership with medical personnel in diaspora in training and aiding the doctors resident in Nigeria.
According to him, every citizen has a right to proper health and a lot of review must be carried out to implement adequate service delivery and appropriate sanctions of careless and erring doctors.
Tunji Alausa however promised to work out structures that will enable adequate implementation of government budget for the health sector.
