An eight-man committee has been inaugurated by the Minister of Education, Tahir Mamman, to set up a roadmap for the education sector in line with the ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda of President Bola Tinubu.

While inaugurating the committee today, Mamman said, Tinubu’s plan for education is anchored on improving the lives of Nigerians, to encourage compassion towards one another, and duly rewards collective efforts to resolve the social ills.

Mamman urged the committee to work out a formula to capture reality in the society in the various curriculum, from basic to tertiary level, to produce well equipped students from all institutions, warning that the president will not celebrity mediocrity.

The committee, headed by Nuhu Yakubu, has as one of its members a former Deputy Director-General of the Nigerian Law School, Professor Ernest Ojukwu, and Professor Sa’ad Umar.
