The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has urged the Generating companies and the Distribution companies, to improve on their performance in order to improve electricity.
The minister said this through his Special Adviser, Strategic Communication and Media Relations, Bolaji Tunji, during a meeting with the management teams of GenCos and DisCos in Abuja.
According to him, the president has identified the power sector as a major driver of economic growth, therefore no excuse will be entertained for non performance.
Adelabu who described the gathering as a progressive formula to tackle challenges in the sector, will provide a template for constant review of developments in the power sector.
He however solicited the support of the stakeholders to translate theoretical approach into practical solutions.
