The Nigerian Army has warned the public against being deceived by fake job recruiters online, saying it does not conduct recruitment exercises by proxy or through unofficial channels and individuals.
Director, Army Public Relations, Brigadier General, Onyema Nwachukwu, in a statement said the Army only conducts its recruitments in line with guidelines of the Harmonized Terms and Conditions Service Soldiers, Rating and Airmen, Revised 2017 Edition.
The warning follows a recent fake recruitment scam by a fake Major General named Gwabin Musa.
The fake General is alleged to have been conducting fraudulent recruitment exercises on behalf of the Nigerian Army, Navy and Air Force on Facebook and other social media platforms.
The statement warned that the NA recruitment processes are transparent, well-regulated and coordinated, adding that the processes include credentials screening, medical tests, physical and mental tests, aptitude tests and oral interviews.
