– Says Money Politics Must be Eliminated for Progress of Nigeria
Renowned Cleric, Prophet Sam Olu-Alo did not mince words on Tuesday as he pointed fingers at Nigerians, stating that they are the source of their own problems.
The outspoken cleric made these remarks while handing over two separate blocks of four classrooms donated each to the Temidire Community High School and St Benedict Catholic Primary School in Ido-Ekiti in memory of his late father, Pa Joseph Omowaye Alo.
Prophet Sam Olu-Alo went on to express concerns about the monetization of politics in Nigeria, remarking, “Money politics has compromised our people to the extent that they now discard individuals with right intentions for those who are power-hungry and greedy.”
Furthermore, the Cleric argued that, “Until politics is demonetized and individuals with the right intentions are given the opportunity to serve, things will not get better in Nigeria.”
Prophet Olu-Alo also took a swipe at fellow religious leaders, saying, “Leaders of Churches and Mosques should never be afraid of speaking truth to power.”
He said Spiritual leaders had a pivotal role in ensuring that politicians and the people do what is right.
Adding his thoughts to the Israel-Hamas, Palestine conflict, Prophet Olu-Alo suggested that the escalating conflict was a sign of the endtimes and urged Christians and Muslims to draw closer to God.
