The director general of the national youth service corps (NYSC), Brigadier General yusha’u ahmed says the purpose of establishing the corp has been achieved, calling on those demanding for the cancelation of the scheme to have a rethink.
In a televised interview today, Ahmed stated that although the scheme has some challenges but it has integrated Nigeria far beyond language lines and has equipped thousands of young people with useful skills for future endeavors.
According to Ahmed, the issue of certificate forgery in regards to Enugu state governor-elect, Peter Mbah, was not issued by the body, insisted that scheme has integrity and would not compromise its standard.
Meanwhile, Peter Mbah, has filed a n20 billion suit against the national youth service corps (NYAC) at the federal high court over alleged conspiracy, deceit, and misrepresentation of facts.
