True to its threat, the organized labor today embarked on major protests across the 36 states of the federation, insisting it would not back down unless government reverses the price of petrol, school fees as well as get the refineries working.

Also, senior advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana who decried the poor management of national resources, urged the public to support NLC’s position which has expanded the scope of its demands beyond the welfare of workers to include all Nigerians.
Receiving the charter of demands from the NLCon behalf of the Lagos state government, deputy governor, Femi Hamzat appealed for calm but could not give a timeline for conclusion of negotiations.
The protest is happening across the 36 states of the country with labour demanding either a reversal of the removal of fuel subsidy, quick distribution of palliatives and repair of the refineries.
