The chairman, caretaker committee of the Takum local government council in Raraba state, Boyi Manja, who was abducted on sundae has regained his freedom.
State police public relations officer, SP Usman Abdulahi said Manja was released yesterday night, without paying ransom, after a joint operation with sister agencies, including the military forced his abductors to set him free.
Meanwhile, leader of the local government legislative council, Pius Bulus Gauva, told newsmen that the council was happy with the release of the chairman.
