Residents of the shanty area of periwinkle zone 12, Ikate-Lekki have decried their forced evacuation from their abode which has become a subject of dispute between two acclaimed owners.
Some of them who spoke to Adamimogo fm said they were notified yesterday to immediately exit the area within one hour.
However, when the policemen arrived today, they physically assaulted and chased away the occupants, fired teargas as well as gunshots to scare them away.
When contacted, the police public relation office in the state, Benjamin Hundeyin sought more time to give details.
