The Nigeria police force said it has launched manhunt for politicians, who are allegedly plotting to scatter the forthcoming may 29 inauguration of president-elect, Bola Tinubu and his vice, Kashim Shettima.
Inspector-general of police, Usman Baba disclosed this at a press briefing at force headquarters today, stating that the force is collaborating with other security agencies to sniff out such persons.
Baba explained that the development became imperative in order to tame subversive elements who had been trying to destabilize the peaceful environment currently being enjoyed in the country.
He insisted that true democrats would subsume their personal political ambition under overriding national security and democratic interests of the country.
