President of the Senator, Godswill Akpabio in company of Governors Hope Uzodimma, Babajide Sanwo-Olu Lagos and former Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has met with President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Villa in Abuja.
The who applauded the transparent process that produced the leadership of the 10th assembly, appealed to the lawmakers to prioritize the enacting people-oriented laws, to improve the welfare of Nigerians while hammering on national integration and unity.
Earlier, Akpabio in his first speech as the president of the senate had promised to lead the 10th senate with utmost respect for the rule of law, diligent execution of duties and improving cordial relationship with the executive and judiciary to further strengthen democracy In Nigeria.
The former Akwa Ibom governor emerged president of the senate today, polling 63 votes to defeat Abdul’aziz Yari who scored 46 votes.
