The all-progressives congress, APC and President-elect, Bola Tinubu has opposed the move to consolidate the three different petitions, seeking to nullify the outcome of the 2023 presidential election.
Tinubu, through his counsel Akin Olujinmi, maintained that merging all the petitions would adversely affect his ability to effectively defend all the issues that were raised against him by the petitioners.
Earlier, the chairman of the presidential election petition court, justice Haruna Tsammani, has dismissed the application for live coverage of court proceedings.
At the 2023 presidential election petitions tribunal sitting in Abuja on today, the justice said the application by the peoples democratic party and labour party lacked merit.
