The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Olukayode Ariwoola has sworn in 23 newly appointed Federal High Court judges, urging them not to be swayed by public opinion.
He clarified that public opinion, no matter how serious, cannot override the Constitution.
Ariwoola subsequently charged Judges in the country to always apply constitutional provisions in deciding each case that may be assigned to them.
Shortly after swearing in, a valedictory court session in honour of the late Justice Chima Nweze was held at the Main Courtroom of the Supreme Court.
