The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has restated his commitment to public service ahead of assuming duties as the Chief of Staff on June 14.
Gbajabiamila made the statement during the valedictory session of the Ninth House of Representatives today, stating that the cordial relationship between the legislative and executive arm of the new administration will be his priority among other duties.
The outgoing speaker also lauded the assembly for passing ground breaking laws and policies including the petroleum industry act and police act laying solid foundations to enable subsequent administrations advance with speed in setting agenda for the growth of the nation.
Gbajabiamila appreciated the Buhari administration for it giant strides while appealing to the 10th assembly to consolidate on the developments of the past assemblies.
